    Biography

For years, Christina's desire to express herself to the world was hidden by her own insecurities, living in an environment where expression was not encouraged. She fought through periods of depression and failing health, in addition to losing her ability to hold relationships. After moving thirteen times with her father's company, she dealt with having to establish new relationships while growing up within new environments that were not always positive.

Five years ago, one teacher helped guide Christina in refining her goals and dreams. Through several after-school programs that she has directed and taught, Christina learned to advise children, to love who you are, love what you create, and do not fear what can devour your dreams. In the process, she has discovered that a child's education can be enhanced through theatrical techniques. Implementing this into the curriculum of many public, private, inner-city, and suburban schools, her Theater in Education initiative increases self-esteem, helps build a sense of community in the classroom, and encourages students to express themselves physically and emotionally.

Christina is currently involved with the Miss America Organization as Miss Manhattan (New York) 2003. This organization has served as a megaphone for many different initiatives led by young women, and she will be promoting its causes within the next year. She is now Miss New York and was a top ten finalist at the 2004 Miss America Pageant.
