Biography
From his earliest memory, Tom wanted to be a professional actor. Labeled by his former agent as the "Total Package," he can now do it all. He creates miracles in his everyday actions and continues to follow his life path, having fun at every step.
Tom Malloy most recently co-starred opposite Amy Smart in the film Love N' Dancing, which wrapped in October 2007. The film is directed by Robert Iscove, director of She's All That. There's already buzz that this film will be the next Saturday Night Fever and cause a whole new dance trend in this country because of the unique style of dance featured in the film called West Coast Swing, which is a smooth, slinky partner dance that's danced to hip-hop, R&B, pop, country and funk.
Tom also recently starred in The Alphabet Killer, directed by Rob Schmidt (Wrong Turn). The film stars Eliza Dushku (Tru Calling, Bring it On), Acadamy Award Winner Tim Hutton (Ordinary People), Cary Elwes (Princess Bride, Days of Thunder), Michael Ironside (Total Recall, Top Gun), Tom Noonan (Manhunter), and Martin Donovan (Insomnia). Tom played the third lead in the film.
Tom also recently played one of the lead roles in The Attic, a thriller directed by Mary Lambert (Pet Sematary I & II). He starred opposite John Savage (The Deer Hunter), Elisabeth Moss (West Wing), Jason Lewis (Sex and the City), and Catherine Mary Stewart (Weekend at Bernies). The film has also been available on video since January 2008.
Tom was one of the lead actors in the film Gravesend, presented by Oliver Stone. The film became an indie-cult favorite. Tom has appeared on MTV, E! Channel, ABC, and NBC in promotion of the film.
Tom has also had principal roles on Law & Order-SVU, Third Watch, and Kidnapped on NBC, as has appeared in films such as The Siege with Denzel Washington, and Anger Management with Adam Sandler and Jack Nicholson.
Other than acting... Tom Malloy is also a stand-up comic, having headlined and performed at Caroline's Comedy Club, as well as other major comedy clubs along the east coast. Tom has competed and taught classes in the smooth, hip-hop style West Coast Swing. He was trained by 4 time U.S. Open Champion Robert Royston in Swing and has trained in Salsa with World Champions Gary and Diana McDonald. Tom was trained in the Undefeated grappling art of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu by the Gracie Brothers themselves. He has also trained in boxing and karate.
